The first day back from Spring Break was just as hard as expected. Luckily, there’s only about 50 days left of the semester (51 if you’re last exam is on May 14th). I also learned that there are only 6 weeks left of this semester. And when looking at the amount of assignments and tests I have yet to complete, my stomach turns. Anyway.
Let’s take a small holiday from this week (already) and go back to warm Vegas. This post features pictures from one of my favorite hotels/casino’s in Vegas: The Venetian. This opulent residential monument contains, not only lavish and mouthwatering views, but also canals that are inhabited by gondolas. The restaurants fit the theme of Venice, and though the shops are the same as ones in NYC, they somehow seemed more exclusive in the streets of this palatial resort. Everything was elaborate, from the floor, to ceilings to minor details. While shopping around, Mari and I came across Godiva’s unusually large chocolate covered strawberries. I’m not talking about their usual ones, but the extra large ones. The ones you’re sure have been through some sort of GMO’ing. We each bought an overpriced piece of berry, and indulged like never before. It was the best chocolate covered strawberry I have ever had.
While walking though the shopping streets of the Venetian, we finally hit the end, where rather than having a wall signalling the end of the road, we came across an escalator that informed us that we were now in Palazzo, another one of the hotels on The Strip. The images under the strawberries are taken at Palazzo, and it shows just how bright and flowery the atmosphere was. We went back to The Venetian before taking a swift trip to one of the other casino’s. Take a look at these sumptuous works of art.
