A promise of a sweet story of fashion. And indeed, sweet it was.
Every year, the fashion show production club cooperates with the styling club, dance team and the visual merchandising club to create a spectacular fashion show. They start in the fall and continue working hard until the very day of the fashion show.
This year the theme was Confectory – a retro candy land. It was held in the Manhattan center, in the Hammerstein Ballroom at 34th St. Some of the sponsors included Redken, College Fashionista, Startup Fashion Week, Urban Outfitters, Make up Forever, Furla, Rebecca Taylor amongst others. They had 45 models and most of them walked the runway twice. The clothes were the responsibility of the styling club and the visual merchandising club made the runway look amazing. The Make Up Forever Academy sponsored make-up artists and Élan Hair Studio did the models hair. Blogger Micah Jesse hosted the night and the dance team showed off some serious moves.
The show lasted for about 45 minutes and it was impossible to get good pictures. Therefore, some of the pictures ended up as art pop images that just look artsy rather than fashiony.
