A Park Avenue Love Story

Everything is fast-paced in Manhattan. People are always in a rush, the subways are always packed, there are always cars on the roads here etc. As people on the outside admire this efficiency, they most often fail to realize how fast the days themselves go by here. While others have been counting the days until the month of March, I sit here wondering where January and February went. The Norway trip that was 115 days away in now happening in 11 days. I even wonder how we got through all these snow days and horrible weather.

As time goes by so fast here, so many of us fail to take a step back, relax and breathe, even though the air is highly polluted. In between errands and projects, most of us fail to realize that we’re living in one of the most amazing cities in the world. We’re in a relationship with this moody person who always makes our days eventful, either in a good or bad way.

Having been rather exhausted for the past few weeks, yesterday was one of the days where the city itself told me to take a breather. The weather was gorgeous and Monica and I found ourselves walking home on Park after a perfect brunch at Barney’s. The sun was caressing our skin while the smiles were non-stop. Even the people of Manhattan seemed happier. These are the days that make all the stress and running around worth it. No matter how dirty the streets or even the people are, the organized chaos that Manhattan is, is gorgeous.
