For all of Bergdorf’s lovers, yesterday was one of the most important events of the year; the unveiling of the windows. Every year the luxurious fashion house spends a large amount of time and money on making the perfect holiday windows. This year, the theme was Holidays on Ice, meaning all our favorite holidays presented in a winter wonderland!
We waited patiently for the unveiling to take place. Our fingers were frozen and our legs were shaking, but once they started, magic really happened. Linda Fargo and Andy Cohen held the commencement speech, warming our hearts in the freezing cold. The music started and people jumped out of the windows of the 5th or 6th floor and slowly moved downwards towards the ground. They were dressed in red spandex suits embellished with neon lights, spreading glitter and joy on 5th Ave. They ran on the building and jumped in to the air. It was amazing.
My camera died very early (having issues with the battery), so I took a few pictures with my phone and borrowed some from Bergdorf Goodman’s Facebook album. It was also impossible to get good pictures of the windows, so they will be posted in a couple of days.
