“Every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future… this is known as Fashion Week.”
– Carrie Bradshaw
First week of classes is over, and things are getting serious at LIM. Do you know why? Let me enlighten you: New York Fashion Week.
This is the week where we use our days and hours off to volunteer and do whatever we can to get inside the doors of the Lincoln Center. The pressure is on the moment we are allowed to sign up and everyone’s clicking at the most desirable shows as if their lives depended on it!
Okay, it is not that dramatic, but it’s not far from the reality for the freshmen. Personally, I have signed up for 4 shows, and I don‘t really know what I have gotten myself into. All I know is that my black outfits are steamed and prêt-a-porter.
As for the first week in school, we only had school on Monday-Thursday and started on Tuesday until today (Wednesday), so the semester has had a slow, yet hectic start.
I will get back to that later.
Wish me luck!
