I woke up with the strangest feeling today.
I am no longer a student at Gateway College.
We had our last exam yesterday, followed by a fantastic dinner at The Harvard Club on 44th Street. The night was just absolutely perfect. We had a three-course meal. The appetizer consisted of salmon and salad, the entrée was perfectly cooked chicken with lovely vegetable and an unforgettable fruit tart was served for dessert. And the entire building was just perfect.
During the dinner, we had lovely speeches from the people of Gateway. For the first time in New York history, the student body had prepared speeches and presents for the entire faculty. Mari and I had even prepared a song to our beloved marketing professor.
Everyone looked amazing as well. People had really dressed up for this occasion, and some even came in the same dress (*host* Rebekka & Karina). Karina performed two songs before our speech. You bet we we‘re nervous about our song after hearing her voice!
The night ended with a Norwegian Party hosted by ANSA on the Empire Hotel Rooftop. Åshild and I never got there, as we went to Bryant Park and enjoyed the Christmas Spirit instead. We enjoyed hot chocolate from Max Brenner while sitting between the huge Christmas Tree and the Ice Skating Rink. We also had the most amazing experience there. As we were sitting and talking about our girly concerns while enjoying our liquid chocolate, the man on the table behind us suddenly got down on one knee. And yes he had a ring. Seeing the how incredibly happy the couple was after she said yes was just heart-warming. The only thing missing was the fireworks.
