They wanted to see New York at its best, so here’s what we did:
They landed on Friday evening, they we‘re welcomed to The City with huge slices of Pizza and a long walk in the Financial District.
On Saturday, we walked around the stores on Upper East Side after running around Financial District, looking for an empty Starbucks. We went to stores like Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Michael Kors, Bloomingdales, Dylan’s Candybar etc. The day was concluded with dinner at Tao, where we went crazy on Sushi and chicken. It is a highly recommendable place, even if you just want to look at the Buddha and talk to the fishes, I recommend Tao. Seriously.
On Sunday we started the day late and went to 14th St, where we had Pinkberry Frozen Yoghurt. After walking around for a while, we picked up lunch in the Flat Iron District and ate it in Central Park. After walking around in Central Park, we ended up at Columbus Circle. There I realized that the Cole Haan shoes contain a Nike Air sole. That was highly unexpected and really, really cool! After a very long day, we ended up at Starbucks, sat there for a while and went home. On the menu, there was homemade pasta, garlic bread and red wine, with Norwegian Chocolates on the dessert menu. We had a great girls night, putting nail polish on our nails etc, etc..
They got to conclude their trip with a visit to the 9/11 Memorial right down the street, followed by a trip to Century 21. Everyone who has been to C21, knows how chaotic it is, but today it was surprisingly empty! I ended up falling in love with a John Galliano blouse with a $1700 price tag on it. How typical…
Since we are all Gossip Girl lovers, we just had to have a snack and coffee at The Met Stairs. We also checked our The Guggenheim architecture (yes, we never went inside). It is just so fascinating. The City constantly reminds me of why I live here and how much I love it!
