Wow, 3 days and 15 hours left in Norway. That’s just crazy! I think I should start packing now…
The last days, or actually weeks have been dedicated to cleaning out of my room, buying necessary things and of course meeting up with my dear friends. A lot have happened, but there are some things I want to share with you in particular;
On Wednesday I finally met up with Hege after her 2 week long trip to New York and Ohio. We decided to take a last trip to Bryne (of course). And so we did. And it left its scars. We went to a tattoo shop there in order to get an appointment for later, but they didn’t have time, so I got an ultimatum; now or never. Damn. I don’t want to take it now. I might not do it later. Fine, I’ll do it. And so I did. Now my left arm is painted for life. With a butterfly. Why a butterfly? Well, let me tell you!
I have always loved butterflies, but who doesn’t? I wanted a flying butterfly as it is a symbol of freedom, at least for me. This is supposed to be a reminder for me, who gets completely carried away with everything I do, and I have tendencies of forgetting why I am doing whatever I am doing. I tend to do what people expect me to do, without making up my own opinion of the situation. In other words, I usually burn myself out with over-working and getting consumed by my jobs. The butterfly will permanently remind me of that I don’t really have to do what I am doing, as I am most probably doing 100 other things. I am free like a butterfly. Or I would have to be a butterfly to feel freer. Måtte vært sommerfoglar om me sko ha følt oss friare. Wow, that’s the lyrics of Drøm Videre Violeta, a song by Kaizers Orchestra. The band which has helped me realize that anything is possible. How, is classified, but Janove Ottesen, the singer, was the secret guest at Demo 2011, which really jumpstarted my future plans and career. The butterfly’s name is Hege, baptized Wednesday August 15. Hege is one of my best friends and the girl who I know is there for me no matter what. We’ve done a lot of crazy things together, and I haven’t ever had as much fun as I’ve had with her! Whenever we do something crazy, we scream: måtte vært sommerfoglar om me sko ha følt oss friare – so back to Drøm Videre Violeta and Kaizers Orchestra. There’s even more things connected to the butterfly and the colors, but I’m not going to go in detail, just look at the pictures.
Another quite interesting thing that’s happened here lately is the re-opening of the clothing store Lindex at Kvadrat. Yes, I was actually at Kvadrat, but luckily it was early in the morning, so it turned out to be fine. Those who know me, know that I have a phobia of going to Kvadrat for some reason.
At the store opening, the 3 first guests or costumers would get a free outfit styled by the gorgeous Lindex Fashion Advisor and supermodel Kathrine Sørland. She is also the blogger of Lindex (click here to read). I was of course one of the three first costumers, and she styled my New York-travel outfit as we had talked about last Saturday. Man, its been a really long time since my last post! Anita and Miriam were with me this day, and we had planned the ultimate girls day out! After staying at Lindex and Kvadrat for a while, we went to town where we had lunch at Sjokoladepiken before entering heaven on earth; Agape. We had coffee and cupcakes there before Miriam HAD to try on some gorgeous dresses and shoes. We had dinner at Mogul India before going home and watching This Means War with a glass of Casillero Del Diablo Chardonnay. A perfect ending of a perfect day.
Today, I bought the shoes I will be wearing when travelling on Tuesday. Check out the pictures!!!
